Kay (Niki)'s Story
Who I Was:
Air Force Brat - arrived in Anchorage fall of 1958 from California, my junior year in HS. I was a quiet girl, and since I lived on Elmendorf AFB, didn't participate in many activities in town, so most of you probably won't remember me. Hung out at the Elmendorf teen club and dated Bob Carpenter in my junior year. "Went steady" with Max Hatch ('58) for half of my senior year.
NMC: Went to Northwestern Michigan College in '62-63, lived in the College House and mostly ran around with Christine Doyle, John Summerville and John & Bill Hicks.

er involved in the space program; moved a lot (nothing new - I was an AF brat) and had two sons. Sadly, never got back to Alaska and always wanted to.
Who I am: My first husband died of cancer at the young age of 43 and I have been married to my second husband (also an engineer in the AF) for 25 years. As well as my sons, I have a step-daughter and a step-son and 6 grandchildren (4 teenagers and 2 preschool) - so far.
We are retired and living on a 10 acre "ranch" out in the country near Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
I am an artist, currently painting primarily in oils.
